Growing up in a small village in the midst of Germany, Celly, born 1999, had always been girdled by nature. Specializing in oil paintings, her subjects focus on female portraiture and bodies. Her fascination with the mind and its various characteristics has taken the place of Celly’s artistic focal point. These works portray the contrast between dreams and nightmares, beauty and cruelty, mesmerizing the beholder in a unique state. Beyond humanity, she also pictures the magic in the absurd. Taking spectators on an intimate journey towards oddity, she is not afraid to adjoin common shapes with outbursts of anomaly.
