Chordeva is a German artist and illustrator. Her works deal with self-perception in the digital age. Analog and digital techniques are intertwined and play a central role in the conception. Playing with hyperrealistic parts of the body, partly distorted, partly isolated and highlighted, and our visual habits, a distorted view of oneself is simulated.
The body parts now stand for themselves and form a new context.
The artist works in black and white only, with black pigment on paper or digitally to sharpen the focus on what is shown.
She graduated in 2010 with a degree in communication design with focus on Illustration and then continued her education in digital media.
Chordeva lives and works in Hamburg, Germany
